For (what used to be a regular or yearly vacation) my wife and I would travel to Vegas and stay a few nights, eat some interesting food, attend some awesome shows and I would be able to sneak in a weekend of professional wrestling. When professional wrestlers are in Vegas it’s usually because there’s a big show going on and I was lucky enough to attend a couple of them over the years. The first one was a Ring of Honor show where they had some New Japan Pro Wrestling fellas which are my favorite.
Before the show they usually do an autograph session where they sign their 8x10s but for me it’s much more fun to make my own and ask them to autograph them. That way I have something super personal to hang on my wall.
I have some pretty awesome keepsakes that I have framed and slapped on the wall. A few of the wrestlers took note and asked me to work on their merchandise and professional gear from this event so it’s really launched a bunch of side projects for me.
