My Workspace

So I don’t really have anything deep or profound to say, but my wife took this rad picture the other day of me working diligently on my buddy Phil’s event poster. Phil is a comedian in the Twin Cities area and from what I’ve experienced at his live show, he works hard for the money. So hard for it honey. Oh something something something, come on, give him lots of money.

But yeah, Phil is a good guy. He’s been doing comedy for like 20 years, that’s almost 30 years which is ridiculous in Earth-time. When I was dabbling in stand-up comedy Phil was nice enough to deliver me do the event with him so I could perform as well. I don’t think I did particularly well, far from the worst but definitely needed Improvement. There was always too much to say on top of there being a physical barrier at whatever venue. In fact the night I sort of had a big break there was a severe weather emergency so the event got canceled. Unfortunate but very much a good metaphor for my life.

Anyway, enough about Phil. Back to the photograph. Awesome, right? It’s like if Batman was starting out but without the financial backing of his parents, just a big old desk with a bunch of non-matching monitors plopped on it. Oh yeah, and Batman’s in a wheelchair for some reason so maybe instead of fighting crime he just orders Doordash and watches cartoons. Also, his parents are very much alive and a nag.
