THROWBACK – First 3d design print

For my first project I was looking for something that was simple and to the point. I have a small collection of pro wrestling belts and they don’t stand up well on their own. I was perusing Amazon for some kind of comic book stand, NASCAR plate stand or a belt stand. It was something like 15 or 20 bucks for a clear acrylic stand. So that meant outfitting my four or five belts meant about somewhere in the ballpark of a hundred bucks that I didn’t necessarily want to spend. Additionally it looks like the results weren’t big enough, specifically wide enough to accompany the width of the belt. So this is a perfect opportunity to come up with some kind of solution.

Below is what I came up with…

They printed nicely, good texture and flat
Assembled

Basically it’s just a three piece stand that interlock into each other so that it could be printed in separate pieces. If I tried to print this thing all together it would just make a mess but this way the center piece that holds the ends together can be longer or shorter depending upon the front plate and the shape of the leather.

Keeps the leather at the bottom from folding/bending on the table
Has enough height to hold everything up
